How does the activity feed work, and how do I filter it?

The activity feed shows who did what, such as who canceled a visit or changed a client's schedule, with note previews; filter it by time, type, person, client, caregiver or office.

Short answer

The activity feed on the Activity page and the dashboard's Recent Activity block shows who did what: visits scheduled, moved, canceled or reassigned, notes with their first lines, clients and caregivers added or changed. New rows arrive on their own. Pick a view such as Visits & schedule, Notes, My clients or Needs attention, or open the filters to narrow it by When, Type, Done by, Client, Caregiver and Office. Click a row to open the visit or profile it is about.

Step by step

  1. Open Activity in the left menu.
  2. Pick a view at the top of the feed: Everything, Visits & schedule, Notes, My clients or Needs attention.
  3. Open the filters to choose When (Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days and more), Type, Done by, Client, Caregiver or Office.
  4. Under Show, turn on Hide my own actions to see only what others did.
  5. To keep these filters, choose Save these filters as a view and name it.
  6. Click a row to open the visit or profile, or open it to read the whole note and comments.

Good to know

  • Who sees it: office staff only. Caregivers and clients never see the activity feed.
  • Colors and icons: each type of change has its own icon, and each group (visits, notes, people, alerts) has its own color.
  • Needs attention collects today's visit problems, such as visits that have not started, late clock-ins and no-shows, plus incident reports.
  • Small details such as task check-offs and medication passes are hidden unless you turn on Include small details under Show.
  • Post update lets office staff share a note with the team and comment on any row, if your agency has team posts turned on.
  • Nothing showing? Check the When filter and the office picked at the top of the page. Your agency may also have turned some types of change off in Settings.
