The scheduling calendar has its own Settings panel, separate from the agency Settings page. It controls how the calendar looks to you: how big the text is, what each visit chip shows, which buttons sit on the toolbar, and whether holidays and time off are drawn.
Quick answer
On Scheduling, click Settings above the calendar grid. The panel has four sections: Toolbar, Filters, Caregiver and client dropdowns, and Appearance. Everything saves to your account as you change it.
Open the Settings panel
Click Settings above the calendar.
It sits on the row with Add Visit and the caregiver and client pickers. There is a search box at the top of the panel if you know roughly what you are looking for.
Toolbar: pin what you use
Every control in the product is in this panel, whether or not it is on the toolbar. The Pin switch beside each one decides whether it also gets a button above the calendar. Pin the four or five you use daily and leave the rest in here.
Appearance: text size and what chips show
- Text size. Steps from 85% up to 160%. This is the one to reach for if the chips are hard to read on a large monitor or a small laptop.
- What a visit chip shows. Turn the visit title, time, client name, caregiver name, avatars, status badge and repeat badge on or off individually.
- Extra information on chips. Add the length, pay code, visit type, client address, either phone number, or the first line of the notes. Any custom visit fields your agency has created show up here too.
- Roster. Accessible colours, whether details appear under each name, how times are written, and whether chips are cards or thin bars.
- How visits look by status. Cancelled, completed, open and in-progress visits can each be drawn normally, faded, struck through, outlined, or hidden. Fading cancelled visits is a common one.
Calendar layers
Two switches under Appearance decide whether the calendar draws things that are not visits:
- Show holidays. Marks your agency’s holidays. The holidays themselves come from Settings, then Payroll, then the Holiday calendar card. This switch only decides whether the calendar draws them.
- Show time off. Paints recorded time off as striped bands.
Whose settings are these?
Yours. Everything in this panel is saved to your own account and follows you between computers. It does not change what your colleagues see, and they can each set the calendar up the way they like. That is worth remembering when somebody says they cannot see something you can.
Reset to defaults at the bottom of the panel puts every one of these back the way it shipped.
