How does texting (SMS) work, what does it cost, and how do I connect Twilio?

Short answer

AveeCare does not charge for texts. You connect your own text provider and it bills you per message, pay-as-you-go. Approximate US rates per text: Telnyx about $0.004, Plivo about $0.0055, Vonage about $0.0073 and Twilio about $0.0083. To connect one, go to Settings, Communications, pick the provider and paste the account details from its dashboard. For Twilio that is the Account SID, the Auth Token and the From number you bought in Twilio.
