Yes, through the mileage handoff. Turn on Show errand miles on the payroll mileage handoff in Settings, Payment Integrations, Errand miles rules. Payroll's Mileage & drive time handoff and its CSV then list each visit's errand miles and errand reimbursement at the caregiver's mileage rate, in their own columns. Add them with your usual mileage reimbursement. With the setting off, errand miles are billed to the client only.
Step by step
- Open Settings, Payment Integrations, and find Errand miles rules.
- Turn on Show errand miles on the payroll mileage handoff and save.
- On Payroll, pick the pay period and click Mileage & drive time.
- Check the Errand miles and Errand reimbursement columns, or download the CSV.
Good to know
- Not added to payroll totals. Errand miles are not in payroll totals, payroll provider files or QuickBooks. Mileage reimbursement is entered the way you already enter it.
- The client's errand charge does not change. The setting only adds the caregiver side to the handoff.
- Rate: errand miles use the same mileage rate as the caregiver's other mileage.
- Turned off, the handoff and CSV look exactly as before, with no errand columns.
