Short answer

On the Alerts page, find the alert named Shift Extension Request and tap Review request. The window shows the caregiver, the extra time and the reason. Tap Approve and confirm to extend the visit end time, or tap Deny, type a reason and tap Confirm Deny. Either choice marks the alert reviewed.

Step by step

  1. Open Alerts and find the Shift Extension Request alert.
  2. Tap Review request.
  3. Read the caregiver, the extra time and the reason.
  4. Tap Approve, then Confirm Approve. Or tap Deny, type a reason and tap Confirm Deny.

Good to know

  • Deny needs a reason. The Confirm Deny button will not send an empty reason, and the caregiver is told.
  • Already answered? If another office user answered the request first, the window says the request is no longer pending and shows its status.
  • Cancelled by the caregiver? The window says so. There is nothing to approve.
  • Prefer Scheduling? Pending requests also show as the purple Extensions badge on the Scheduling toolbar.
