What do I do when ProviderOne rejects my DAT file?

Billing, ProviderOne, File history: select Rejected and drop in the Error Instance List; each error lands on its line with the fix, and the lines come back marked Resubmission.

Short answer

ProviderOne rejects the whole file when any line fails. In Billing, ProviderOne, File history, select Rejected on that file and bring in ProviderOne's error list: export the Social Service Batch Upload Error Instance List with SaveToXLS and drop it in, or paste its rows. AveeCare puts each error on its line, explains it in plain English and says how to fix it. The lines return to Bill this period marked Resubmission.

Step by step

  1. In ProviderOne, open Social Service Batch Upload Status and select Rejected.
  2. Export the Error Instance List with SaveToXLS.
  3. In AveeCare, open Billing, ProviderOne, File history and select Rejected on the file.
  4. Drop in the error list, review which line each error belongs to, and save.
  5. Fix what each line says, then select Create DAT file again.

Good to know

  • Check a file before you upload File history has Check a DAT file, which reads any .dat file and compares it field by field with what AveeCare would send.
  • Every file is checked first Create DAT file runs the same checks ProviderOne does on the format, so most rejections are caught before upload.
  • No list yet? Choose Record as rejected (add the list later). The lines come back right away.
